For everyone else: here's what this is.
Most golf-specific training apps fall into one of two camps. The first is mobility-and-bands work, which has its place but isn't a strength program. The second is general fitness: push day, pull day, leg day, the same split a powerlifter or a CrossFitter would run, with golf as a vague afterthought. Neither is built around golf.
GolfBod is.
Every workout trains pushing, pulling, hip hinges, rotation, and power, because that is what the swing uses. Heavier weeks and easier recovery weeks are planned in so fatigue doesn't pile up. And the plan knows about your golf calendar. Add a round on Saturday and Friday's workout goes lighter, so you show up fresh. Add a competition and the days on either side of it back off. Your gym time stops running on a track separate from your golf.
That's the short version. The longer version, why easier recovery weeks matter, why your training should change through the year, why "chest day" won't add yards to your drive, how power trains differently from strength, doesn't fit in a hero section. That's what this section is for.
We're going to write about how golfers should train in the gym, what the research says without the academic jargon, and what we're learning as more golfers run the app. The posts will be specific, and any training term gets explained the first time it shows up.
For now: download it, run through onboarding, get your first program. Pre-round warm-up is free forever. Your first program is free. Pro is $14.99 a month, or $99.99 a year if you decide to keep going.
Train like an athlete. Play like one.
