GolfBod ("we," "our," or "us") operates the GolfBod mobile application and the golfbod.app website. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, disclose, and safeguard your information.
Information We Collect
We collect information you provide directly: email address, display name, golf handicap, training preferences (experience level, training days, session duration, equipment), workout logs, and calendar events.
We automatically collect: device information, usage analytics (via PostHog), and health data (via Apple HealthKit or Google Health Connect, only with your explicit permission).
How We Use Your Information
We use your information to generate personalized training programs, track workout progress, adapt programs to your golf calendar, and improve the product experience.
Third-Party Services
We use the following third-party services that may process your data:
- Supabase -- database hosting and authentication
- PostHog -- product analytics
- RevenueCat -- subscription management
- Google Gemini -- AI program generation (workout preferences only, no personal identifiers)
- Airbridge -- mobile attribution (install events, subscription events, advertising identifiers)
- TikTok -- advertising attribution and optimization (install events, subscription events, advertising identifiers)
- Meta -- advertising attribution and optimization (install events, subscription events, advertising identifiers)
- UserJot -- public feedback board, roadmap, and changelog (display name and email you enter when submitting a request or comment)
Feedback and Public Posts
When you tap Send Feedback or Request an Exercise inside the app, the in-app browser opens our UserJot feedback board. Requests, comments, and votes you submit there are public: the display name and body of your submission are visible to anyone who visits the board. The email you provide is not displayed publicly but is used by UserJot to send you status updates when your request is reviewed, planned, or shipped.
You can use a pseudonym or a relay email (such as Apple Hide My Email) at submission time. To remove a submission later, contact support@golfbod.app and we will delete it on your behalf.
Advertising and Attribution
When you install GolfBod from an advertising campaign or interact with our advertising, we share certain events (app install, subscription started) and your device's advertising identifier (IDFA on iOS, Advertising ID on Android) with our attribution partner (Airbridge) and the advertising networks running the campaign (TikTok, Meta). This lets us measure which ads drive installs and improve campaign performance.
On iOS, we collect and share the IDFA only if you grant permission through the App Tracking Transparency prompt. You can change this at any time in Settings > Privacy & Security > Tracking. On Android, you can reset or delete your Advertising ID in Settings > Privacy > Ads.
Data Retention
We retain your data for as long as your account is active. You can request deletion of your account and all associated data at any time through the app settings or by contacting support@golfbod.app.
Your Rights
You have the right to access, correct, or delete your personal data. You may also request a copy of your data in a portable format. To exercise these rights, contact support@golfbod.app.
If you are in the European Economic Area (EEA), you have additional rights under the GDPR. If you are a California resident, you have additional rights under the CCPA.
