Assessments & follow-ups
Record a baseline, repeat the same measurements, and compare progress over time.
Record a starting point
In the mobile app, open a golfer’s record and choose Assessments and follow-ups. The golfer must have enabled training sharing for you.
- 01
Choose what to measure
Use club speed, balance, or custom measurements that fit the lesson goal. Record only what you can measure with the equipment available.
- 02
Describe the setup
Give each measurement a name, a unit, and any setup instructions needed to repeat it. Add the assessment date, optional context, and a next-review date.
- 03
Save the baseline
Enter the results you took. Leave anything you did not measure blank. The saved record shows the instructor who entered it.
Compare the same measurements
A follow-up uses the baseline’s measurements, units, and setup. Enter the new results and GolfBod shows the change from that baseline. To change the measurement definitions, start a new baseline.
Missing is different from zero. Blank readings remain unmeasured and do not produce a change value. Zero is a real reading. Comparisons describe the measured change; they do not establish that fitness work caused a golf result.
Drafts and corrections
- Drafts in the mobile app survive closing the editor or restarting the app. Continue them on the same device.
- Correct a saved entry while keeping the original record and its author in the history.
- A colleague’s newer correction cannot be silently overwritten. Your draft stays available so you can review the change.
- Once a baseline has follow-ups, its definitions cannot be rewritten underneath those comparisons.
Review together
Due assessment reviews appear on the instructor’s roster. Open the golfer’s history to see baselines, follow-ups, setup notes, and the instructors who recorded them.
Golfers can open Coaching > My assessments in the app or Coaching on the web. Their history includes records from teams they have left.
