11The coaching guide

Prescribing a plan

Link a lesson goal to a program, offer equipment alternatives, and handle adjustments.

Start with the golfer’s goal and setup

The golfer might train at a commercial gym, with equipment at home, while traveling, or with no equipment. The golf course does not need to provide a training space.

  1. 01

    Choose the program

Use a saved program or one you built. Add a short instruction goal so the golfer understands how the work connects to the lesson.

  2. 02

    Offer alternatives

In the app, attach approved programs for different equipment setups. These are specific plans you choose; GolfBod does not invent an unapproved substitute for a golfer’s setup.

  3. 03

    Set a review date

Give the golfer a date to revisit the plan together, then send the offer. They review the goal and program options before starting.

What the golfer does next

The golfer opens the team plan, chooses an existing equipment setup or adds one, and previews the approved options. Starting a matching option also selects that equipment for their workouts.

One program runs at a time. If another program is active, the app explains the switch before confirmation. Starting or replacing a team program keeps completed workouts and records.

When the equipment doesn’t match

The golfer can request an adjustment and describe what they have available. The roster flags the request. Open their record to review the plan and, when sharing is enabled for you, their note and equipment setup.

Revise the offer in the mobile app. You can keep its instruction goal, review date, and approved alternatives. A colleague can reuse the current prescription without rebuilding it.

During the program

  • GolfBod handles workout logging, weights, reps, and adjustments around the golfer’s calendar.
  • With permission, instructors can review training history and leave notes on the session they concern.
  • The assigned plan is a saved snapshot. Editing a program in your library does not silently rewrite what the golfer was offered.
  • Assigned programs run free while the coaching relationship continues. When a golfer leaves the team, pending offers and a running team program end; their completed training stays.

Good to know

Use the web program builder for templates and standard program offers. Use the mobile app to attach equipment alternatives, lesson goals, and review dates or to revise an existing prescription. See the golfer’s side of the process.
